CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO’S WINTER WILDLAND CLOSED TONIGHT DUE TO WATER PIPE BREAK

December 28, 2009 – Due to an on-grounds water pipe that has frozen and ruptured, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s “Winter WildLand” holiday event will be closed tonight, Monday, December 28, 2009. Maintenance personnel from the Zoo are working tonight to repair the break, but the decision has been made to close tonight’s event for public safety reasons.

There is every indication that the pipe will be repaired and the subsequent water and ice from the break can be cleaned up in time to open Winter WildLand at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow evening, Tuesday, December 29.

The announcement of closure is also on the Zoo’s phone system and on the website, www.cmzoo.org.
