Tour Details:

1. Four tours will be conducted each Saturday between January 28, 2012 and July 31, 2012, beginning at noon.
   • Your party will be assigned a tour time when you are notified (12:00 / 12:30 / 1:00 / 1:30).
   • Please note: Elephant tour times will be changing beginning on Saturday, May 26. The new tour times will be 2:00 / 2:30 / 3:00 / 3:30.
2. Tours will meet near the front gate at the elephant tour check-in window 10 minutes prior to departure to sign release forms.
   • If your party is not present at this time you will forfeit your spot on the scheduled tour.
3. The tour group will be escorted to the new elephant building.
4. Once inside the public elephant viewing area, a zoo docent will share information about the new elephant exhibit, training and care of our four elephants.
5. You will also be able to see the entire elephant barn along with some of the residents.*
6. During the visit a short question and answer period will be conducted by one of our zookeepers.** 
7. Once the tour has concluded, you will be escorted back to the zoo’s main entrance.
8. If you would like to visit the zoo before or after the tour, regular zoo admission applies.

Tour Tips:

1. You will be climbing stairs and walking on uneven surfaces, so wear appropriate shoes.
2. There is no food or drink allowed on the tour.
3. You must sign a release form before the tour.
4. Visit our Watch the Progress page to get a sneak peak into the new Elephant Building.

Please inform us if you or anyone in your group needs handicap accessibility at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour time.

*We cannot guarantee all elephants will be inside the barn during your tour.
**Q&A sessions will take place when a keeper is available and is not guaranteed on every tour.

The weekly drawings will run 01/25/12 to 07/31/12.
