Are you jealous that many cool Zoo programs are offered only for kids? Now's your chance to join in the fun with our adult education classes. They will open your eyes—in all new ways—to the natural world.
Teachers can even earn re-certification credits with many of these classes—and gain wonderful experience and knowledge at the same time.

Zoo Science Unveiled
Have you been looking for new ways to inspire your passion for life science? This four-day class will empower you with renewed knowledge of conservation and environmental science. We will explore many aspects of zoo function from husbandry and care to behavior and diets. Preview our newest area Encounter Africa and learn about exhibit design including plants and enclosures. Find out what simple changes you can make at home to make a difference and learn more about what the zoo is doing to save and support wild animals and wild places. This class will include behind the scenes opportunities like you have never experienced before!

Date: Monday - Thursday, July 9,10,11,12
Time: 8am - 4pm
Grade Level: K-12
Cost: $200.00 members, $228.00 non-members (2.0 CE credit (30 contact hours) is available for $90 payable at workshop). $1 of each registration will be donated to Quarters for Conservation.
Special requirements: Participants must submit proof of negative TB results within the last year, come dressed prepared for a variety of activities inside and outside, please also bring a sack lunch or money to purchase food.
