It's always a great time to visit the Zoo!

• A new front plaza! 
  Now open, the new front plaza features six windows for guests and members, in addition to two self-serve computers for membership purchases and renewals.


• A new Grizzly Grill!
  Our new Grizzly Grill restaurant is now open! It covers over 5,000 square feet, and offers a wide array of food and drinks...details!


• See the expanded mountain lion exhibit in Rocky Mountain Wild.
  We have four mountain lions: "Motega," "Tocho," "Yuma,"and "Kaya.


• Visit our newest snow leopards, Bhutan and Kisa!
  “Bhutan” is from the Albuquerque Biological Park and “Kisa” is from the Denver Zoo.


• Meet Godek, our newest Sumatran orangutan!
  Godek means “sideburns” in Indonesian. You can visit him and his mom, "Sumagu," and dad, "Baka," in Primate World.


• Visit Mailaika!
  We now have a third African elephant, named “Malaika.” Her herd mates are "Lucky" and "Kimba."


• Mountaineer Sky Ride is open!
  Experience the Zoo in a brand new way from the Mountaineer Sky Ride, a chair-lift, open-air ride that will provide spectacular views of the Zoo, Cheyenne Mountain and Colorado Springs.

°      Saturday, July 10, 2010 – Enrichment Day, 1:00pm-4:00pm

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaalllll!" It's the World Cup on Enrichment Day 2010 at the Zoo! What is enrichment and why is it good for our Zoo animals? Come and learn about all the ways our Animal Care Staff keeps the animals stimulated with scheduled soccer-themed enrichment activities every half an hour throughout the Zoo. Activities for the kids and learning stations will also be open for Zoo members. Click here for details.

Can't make it to Enrichment Day but want to see the meerkats? Check out the Meerkat Cam at 2:00 p.m. MT on 7/10/10 to see them get their treats!

• Any time you visit the Zoo, you must present your membership card and a photo ID at the admissions booth. (Children are not required to present a photo ID.)
